GC Engine (“we”, “us”) runs gcengine.com. Contact info@gcengine.com.
We license a CRM and automation stack to contractors, built first for general contractors. People who inquire about a project are customers of that contractor. We process their information so the contractor’s website, receptionist, follow-up, and quotes can run.
1. Who this covers
- Visitors to gcengine.com
- Contractors and their staff who inquire, onboard, or use the product
- People whose details a contractor puts into the system, including homeowners and leads
2. Information we collect
From you on this website
- Name, email, firm, market, and the message you send us
- Technical data our host logs, such as IP address, browser, and pages requested
From contractor clients
- Business and staff identity: names, emails, phones, role
- Billing contact and payment status through our payment processor
- Brand assets, service areas, catalog prices, and configuration you give us
- Access you grant to calendar, ads, or your Google Business Profile for setup. You keep ownership of those accounts
On behalf of a contractor
- Lead identity and contact details, property address, and project notes
- Photos or video a homeowner or contractor uploads for a quote
- Call recordings and transcripts where that feature is on and disclosed
- Text and email content, appointment history, quote documents
- Consent text, time, and source, plus opt-out status
- Ad click IDs and UTM parameters when a lead form sends them
3. How we use information
- Reply to inquiries about GC Engine
- Provide the licensed CRM, website, receptionist, outbound, and quoting
- Send appointment, quote, and service messages the contractor has configured
- Bill the subscription and voice overage
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal duties
We do not sell personal information. We do not use a homeowner’s details to market GC Engine to that homeowner. Opting in on a contractor’s form is consent to be contacted by that contractor and by systems we run for them, including automated and AI-assisted calls, texts, and emails, until the person opts out.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information with service providers that run the product:
- Supabase — database and application data, hosted in Canada (ca-central-1)
- Netlify — site hosting
- Stripe — subscription and overage payments, when you pay through Stripe
- Telnyx — phone numbers and text delivery
- Vapi — voice agents
- Resend — email delivery
- Anthropic and Google — model providers used by the agents and quoting assist
- Google or Microsoft — calendar, only when a contractor connects one
- Google Ads or Meta — only the access a contractor grants for setup. Ad accounts stay theirs
We also share information with professional advisors or authorities when the law requires it, and with the contractor whose workspace the record belongs to. A contractor may share job details with their own trades. That sharing is their decision.
5. AI
AI agents may answer calls, place outbound calls, and send texts or emails on a contractor’s behalf, inside that contractor’s settings and the consent on file. Quote prices are calculated by our software from the contractor’s catalog. The model does not set the price. Unclear requests and quote replies are handed to the contractor. You can ask for a person, reply STOP to texts, or use an email unsubscribe link.
6. Retention
We keep contractor and lead records while the subscription is active and for as long as we need them to provide the service, collect payment, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal duty. After cancellation, we delete or anonymize personal information that we no longer need, including when you use the deletion process below.
7. Data deletion
Include:
- Your name
- The email address or phone number on the account, inquiry, or lead
- Whether you are a contractor client, a staff user, a visitor to this site, or a homeowner whose information a contractor collected
- What you want deleted
When the request is clear enough to find the records, we delete the personal information we hold that matches it. We reply by email when that deletion is done. We aim to finish within 30 days.
We still keep:
- Invoices, payment records, and tax records we are required to retain
- Records needed for an open legal claim, audit, or security investigation
- Information that has been aggregated so it no longer identifies you
If you are a homeowner, we delete your information from our systems. We tell the contractor that you asked, so they do not put the same details back into the workspace. Automated marketing to you stops. A contractor may still have a duty to keep project records outside our system. That copy is theirs.
If you are a contractor closing your account, email the same address. Ask for an export first if you want one. We then delete personal information in the workspace under this section. Billing records we must keep stay on file.
Canadian residents can withdraw consent to commercial electronic messages, subject to CASL exceptions such as a message required for an existing project. California and other US state residents can use this same email for access, correction, deletion, or an appeal. Use the subject “Privacy request” for anything that is not a deletion.
8. Other choices
- Texts from a contractor’s number: reply STOP
- Email from a contractor sequence: use the unsubscribe link
- Access or correction: email info@gcengine.com with the subject “Privacy request”
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the service, including tenant separation in the database. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
10. Children
The service is for contracting businesses and adults making home-improvement decisions. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have, email info@gcengine.com and we will delete it.
11. United States and Canada
Contractors operate in the United States, Canada, or both. Application data is hosted in Canada. Some providers process data in the United States, including voice, messaging, email, and model providers. If you are in one country and a provider is in the other, your information may be processed in both.
12. Changes
We post updates on this page and change the date above. If we materially change how consent-based outreach works, we update the consent language on the forms contractors use.
